Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils for certain benefits. Examples include lavender, orange and bergamot, and eucalyptus. These “aromas” are all plant-based derivatives from herbs, tree extracts, and flowers. Essential oils are extremely concentrated so to be used correctly they should be diluted into milder oils, humidifiers, or lotions.
Different essential oils can evoke a range of effects on the body and mind. For instance, lavender oil is known for its calming and soothing properties, making it ideal for relaxation and stress relief. On the other hand, peppermint oil has invigorating and energizing properties, which can be beneficial for reducing fatigue and enhancing focus.
The choice of essential oil(s) used in aromatherapy massage depends on the desired outcome and the individual's specific needs.
As a skilled aromatherapy massage therapist, I will carefully select and blend essential oils to create a customized experience that caters to the client's concerns.
